The purpose of the Science Leadership Network is to promote communication and collaboration between districts, facilitate problem solving, and enhance science education in our region.

Materials
Materials provided for the lesson were as follows:
- One 3 inch ball and one 1 inch ball (The relative size is important to align with the relative sizes of the Earth and moon. The Earth's diameter is approximately 3.6 times greater than the moon's diameter). I also included a string that was approximately 90 inches in length to represent the properly scaled distance between the moon and Earth.
