OCM BOCES is dedicated to the provision of direction, guidance, and support to educational leaders throughout the region.
Included in the new APPR system is a requirement that all lead evaluators be trained according to the new regulations. The training will include all of the state-prescribed components as well as instructional leadership and growth-producing feedback.
The evaluation of principals is a significant component of the new APPR system, according to the regulations. For principals, the state says that the lead evaluator should be the superintendent or her/his designee.
Administrators in our BOCES meet periodically to hear the latest news and regulatory advice, share and discuss common issues, and to further their own professional learning. There is no charge to attend these meetings; the cost is built in to component districts' 547 CoSer base fee. To access the record of those sessions, choose your level:
