McKinney-Vento Information
Under McKinney-Vento (MV), students experiencing homelessness can stay in their school of origin or enroll in any local public school that students living in the same area are eligible to attend. If MV-protected students decide to attend the school of origin, they are also entitled to transportation to that school. Students experiencing homelessness are entitled to immediate enrollment, even if they do not have: school records, medical records including immunization records, proof of residency, guardianship papers, and birth certificate, or other documents normally needed.
