Scaffolding for ELLs in Distance Learning or Hybrid Settings (TRLE)

This professional learning opportunity will describe challenges and opportunities for ELLs during distance or hybrid learning, define scaffolding for ELLs, explore strategies for scaffolding tasks for ELLs during distance or hybrid learning, and apply a 5-step framework to scaffold content instruction for ELLs in a distance or hybrid learning environment. This session also includes a webinar recording and an accompanying tools packet. Participants will be asked to pause and reflect in the accompanying Google Forms.  All parts must be completed to recieve CTLE credits. (CTLE: 2 hrs.)


Creating Language Objectives for ELLs

In this module, participants will interact in the creation of Language Objectives by following 4 steps and using the Targets of Measurement (ToMs), which are aligned with the NySESLAT, or the NYS Standards. Participants will also apply this information learned in a way that applies to their practice. This module is in an asynchronous Google Classroom environment.
