Scheduling Directions

Prior to scheduling kits, click on the Go to Teacher List button to create/update your Teacher List for the 2018-2019 school year. When complete, click on the Go to Schedule Kits button. Please contact Youth Development if you need to schedule kits for special education teachers.

To schedule a kit:

Scheduling Options

  1. Use the Choose a Teacher drop-down menu to select a teacher name.
  2. Use the Select a Kit drop-down menu to select the grade level kit (K-5) the teacher will need. Teachers who teach different grade levels will need to be scheduled for each grade level (which will be billed as more than one kit). Teachers who teach multi-age classes (e.g. K/1, 2/3) will need to select the grade level kit most appropriate for their students.
  3. Use the Select a Schedule Option drop-down menu to select the time frame during which the teacher will use the kit.
     
    • Non-Shared Kit Scheduling:
      • Full Year - September 10, 2018 to June 10, 2019 (one teacher uses kit for the entire year; billed as two kits)
      • Fall Only - September 10, 2018 to January 12, 2019 
      • Spring Only - February 11, 2019 to June 10, 2019
      • Summer - Special Education Programs: April 24, 2019 to August 11, 2019
    • Shared Kit Scheduling: A shared kit is used by two teachers in the same building and grade level for the entire school year (September - June). This type of scheduling encompasses 2 semesters (fall and spring) and is, therefore, billed as two kits. Since the kit stays in the building and does not return to OCM BOCES mid-year for refurbishing, teachers actually receive four additional weeks of its use. Shared kits will contain enough materials for the second teacher. When inputting scheduling information online for teachers sharing a kit, both teachers’ names and schedules must be listed separately and must indicate which semester they will use the kit.
      • Shared Year - Fall: September 10, 2018 to January 12, 2019
      • Shared Year - Spring: January 15, 2019 to June 10, 2019
  4. Use the Choose a Share Teacher drop-down menu, if applicable, to select the teacher with whom the kit will be shared (either the fall or spring semester). Remember that both teachers' names and schedules must be listed separately and must indicate which semester they will use the kit.
  5. Review your schedule. On the Scheduling page, you will be able to view the kit schedule that you create and, if needed, edit the list by deleting entries. You can also print your list from this page.
