Description:

Presented by the Library of Congress with Ithaca College, this workshop will focus on Teaching 21st Century Skills and US History Content through collective analysis of primary source documents.

When:

• Thursday, March 7, 2013 – 8:30 AM-3:30 PM. Brown bag lunch.

• OCM BOCES, Henry Campus, Rodax 8 conference room

• School Librarians and Teachers

Outcomes:

• Learn how to access U.S. Library of Congress media documents to integrate critical thinking and literacy skills into core curriculum.
• Examine theory and practice of critical thinking and media literacy.
• Resources & Strategies for document-based lesson design.
• Develop an individualized implementation plan

Cost:

• No charge to attend. Registration through MLP is required.
