Project Effective Parent Program
6820 Thompson Rd.
Syracuse, NY 13211
The mission of the PEP program is to provide pregnant and/or parenting teens the opportunity to complete high school and to become effective parents through an understanding of themselves, their child's needs and their new role.
The Project Effective Parent (PEP) program is intended as an intervention that will enable students to successfully complete high school while parenting. The program is located at the Henry Campus, with access to many community services.
Students enter the program at their district's discretion any time prior to delivery or after the child is delivered for a period of time not expected to exceed two academic years. Academics are delivered tutorially. The student must be interested in maintaining her academic standing. The district identifies one person to be a liaison with the PEP teacher to facilitate communication with the home school.
