Student Profile
Students identified as having multiple severe disabilities (Autistic, Medically fragile, Down Syndrome and other low incidence disabilities). These students exhibit severe intellectual disabilities, visual, hearing and/or physical impairments as well as other medical needs. Grade Range: K - 12.
Desired Outcomes
To address and improve specific communication, physical, academic, social and management needs.
Daily Activities
Daily activities of students are highly individualized. Many activities involve improving communication skills. Daily living skills and social skills are emphasized. Adaptive equipment and augmentative communication devies are used through out the program. Instruction occurs in natural and community settings for practical application of daily living skills to promote instructional opportunities success and transfer.
Referral Process
The office responsible for coordinating student services from the student's home district will contact Karen Koch, Assistant Director of OCM BOCES to begin the referral process.
