Innovation Tech inducts four students into the National Honor Society
Four Innovation Tech students were inducted Monday into the National Honor Society (NHS) at a ceremony held at the school.
Each student demonstrated excellence in scholarship, service, leadership and character.
To be inducted into the NHS, students had to have a GPA of 85 percent or above, held a leadership position at work or in an extracurricular activity, performed some type of community service, and write an essay describing their character.
Innovation Tech principal Trista Brundage welcomed NHS inductees’ parents, families and friends to the ceremony, highlighting the hard work that goes into earning the honor.
“Your commitment, dedication and passion towards learning has led you to this prestigious moment,” said Brundage. “You have demonstrated the characteristics of the National Honor Society through your hard work and I’m proud of every one of you for your commitment to Innovation Tech.”
Following a candle-lighting ceremony, students were inducted into the NHS by School Counselor Kayla Beyer and received honor cords and certificates before reciting the NHS membership pledge.
