The Reach Program provides a rigorous educational experience designed for 7th and 8th grade students. The program motivates students to find value in learning through practical experiences and a problem-solving approach. With opportunities for Project Based Learning and Service Learning in the community, students further develop 21st century skills to help them be college and career ready upon graduation. There is a strong focus on critical thinking, collaboration and communication skills. Technology is infused throughout the program. Students participate in Team Time where each student is assigned to a small team with a Team Leader to work on individual goals, monitor progress in the program and build on skills to help them succeed in the school setting. There are 9 Reach staff members including the principal, dean of students, five teachers, a teaching assistant and a social worker to provide counseling support if needed.
