SKATE

The SKATE (Scaffolding Kids Abilities Through Education) program for students with Autism Spectrum Disorder provides comprehensive education and psycho-therapeutic assistance.  The program utilizes the TEACCH model that provides a clearly organized, structured and modified environment with an emphasis on visual learning modalities.  The curriculum is individualized for each student.  Psychotherapeutic intervention and family support is an integral part of the SKATE program. Stellata
The Stellata program is designed to support students with a range of disabilities.  The program focuses on developing life skills and encourages independence while addressing behaviors.  Classroom configuration is 12:1:3:1. Click for more detail.

STAR
The STAR program (Skills Toward Adult Responsibility) is designed for students who have a variety of disabilities. Curriculum is desinged following New York State learning standards and is specially designed to meet individual needs of the student. TEAM
The TEAM (Towards Educational Achievement for the Multiply Disabled) program is designed for students who have severe multiple disabilities that impace their physical and cognitive development. Students are provided programming that will encourage the development of life skills and increase independent functioning. Deaf and Hard of Hearing Program
This program emphasizes an individualized communication approach using combinations of sign language, speaking, hearing and speech reading, depending upon each student. The program also serves children who have cochlear implants. Students may be in a classroom with a teacher of the deaf and/or placed in general education classes with an interpreter as appropriate. Click for more detail.

Students with Emotional Disabilities
These programs serve students whose management and emotional needs are determined to be highly intensive. These programs provide individual students with a range of therapeutic interventions to best match their emotional and behavioral needs. Counseling services for all students are included.
