When it comes to community outreach, OCM BOCES is always willing to help. In fact, it is part of our mission. Recently, OCM BOCES assisted a pair of Cuban physicians through a local community organization called Partners in Learning.
Partners in Learning supports adults, children and families of diverse cultures and languages in their efforts to learn, earn and live well in Syracuse and Onondaga County.
In the case of the Cuban doctors, OCM BOCES helped them enroll in phlebotomy classes because much of their paperwork had been left behind in Cuba, a situation that is forcing them to get re-training here in the United States.
