OCM BOCES Children's Village at Park Hill
All children must be referred by their school district Committee on Preschool Special Education (CPSE) with a designation of "Preschool Child with a Disability" and a recommendation for Special Class In An Integrated Setting (SCIS) program. We provide intervention services for children ages 3 and 4 years old with a wide variety of disabilities to include speech/language delays, behavior concerns, autism spectrum disorders, physical disabilities, deaf and hard-of-hearing and over-all developmental delays.
The learning outcomes are driven by standards and the needs of the individual preschool child as per their Individual Educational Plan. These outcomes include but are not limited to social/emotional development, communication systems, large and small motor development along with sensory integration, cooperative play, pre-academic readiness skills and parent education.
Each child enrolled in our program is provided learning opportunities along with their peers in an inclusive setting during arrival activities, structured free-play time, large group instruction, individual skill development time, Occupational, Physical and Speech therapy times, daily gym time, small social group times, snack or lunch times and closure activities.
The office responsible for coordinating student services from the student's home district wil contact the appropriate BOCES program administrator to begin the referral process.
