Behavioral Information/PBIS
The RSE TASC Behavioral Specialist provides regional information, training and technical assistance to districts designated by NYSED as having a disproportionate number of students with disabilities receiving suspensions by supporting the implementation of Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) within school districts.
PBIS
Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) is a research-based systems approach to preventing and responding to school and classroom behavior problems. PBIS develops school-wide systems that support staff to teach and promote positive behavior in all students. By reducing behavioral problems, PBIS creates and maintains safe learning environments where teachers can teach and students can learn.
