Environmental Science

The environmental Science Careers class is located at the Tunison Lab of Aquatic Science in Cortland. Another class is proposed for the Marcellus High School with access to the Carpenters Brook Fish Hatchery and Baltimore Woods.

Students conduct research in such areas as forestry, fish, wildlife, soil and water conservation, and environmental issues.

Through mentorships with professionals, students gain an understanding of environmental science careers. As the students move through the program, they learn post secondary requirements and job expectations. The program provides an opportunity for students to explore the many aspects of social, economic, and governmental impact on the environment.
