Full Time Career Training Certificate Programs

OFFICE TECHNOLOGY

Bookkeeping & Accounting

Begin with the office basics of keyboarding, letter writing, business English, filing, and the use of various office machines including the calculator, photocopy machines, telephone and fax. Then continue on to a concentration in the financial aspect of running an office. Develop skills in manual bookkeeping procedures and payroll as well as computerized methods of these functions using software such as Excel and QuickBooks.

Fee:  $5,850 (includes tuition, books and supplies)

Length: 24 weeks/780 hours

Start Date: February 11, 2008

Administrative Support Specialist

Begin with the basics of keyboarding, letter writing, business English, filing, and the use of various office machines including the calculator, photocopy machines, telephone and fax. Then this training program will begin to focus on the skills necessary for mid to upper level office support positions such as Administrative Assistant, Executive Secretary, Legal Secretary, Medical Secretary, and General Secretary. The focus is on extensive Word proficiency and also incorporates Excel, PowerPoint and Access depending on which clerical position is desired.

Fee:  $5,850 (includes tuition, books and supplies)

Length: 24 weeks/780 hours

Start Date: February 11, 2008

Medical Billing & Coding

Begin with the basics of keyboarding, letter writing, business English, filing, and the use of various office machines including the calculator, photocopy machines, telephone and fax. Then begin the necessary medical and technological skills for the entry-level medical billing and coding. The curriculum includes training in medical terminology, anatomy and physiology, medical office administration, and medical billing and coding, as well as computers and more general administrative skills.

Fee:  $5,850 (includes tuition, books and supplies)

Length: 24 weeks/780 hours

Start Date: February 11, 2008

Office Support Specialist

Begin with the basics of keyboarding, letter writing, business English, filing, and the use of various office machines including the calculator, photocopy machines, telephone and fax. Then continue to develop skills required to be proficient in a business office setting. This program is designed for people who are looking to take their basic computer skills to the next level. The curriculum includes Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access, in addition to incorporating the administrative skills needed for a variety of office-related careers.

Fee:  $5,850 (includes tuition, texts, supplies, and uniform)

Length: 24 weeks/780 hours

Start Date: February 11, 2008
