GRASP Home Study Program
GRASP stands for "Give Ready Adults a Study Program." It is a home study program, like a correspondence course. You drop off your completed work and pick up new work every two weeks. You work on the skills YOU need. You can also get help on the phone if you're stuck! You can use this program to prepare for the G.E.D. test. You can also use it to improve your skills to qualify for the EDP program. To enroll, you need to be 21 years old and have 8th grade reading skills. If you choose GRASP, be sure you set aside some time and space at home to do your school work! If you need additional help, you can call and speak with a home study instructor or drop in on one of our academic classes to ask for individual assistance. Nearly half of our G.E.D. graduates each year have used the home study as part of their program. To enroll in home study, simply attend an information session any Wednesday at 1:00 or 6:00 pm, and you will receive your first home study assignment before you leave the session.
