Cosmetology - Appearance Enhancement

CARLA HARTZOG-COSMETOLOGY INSTRUCTOR Watch video

Description: Begin an exciting career in the field of Appearance Enhancement. You will be trained in hair, skin and nail analysis, and develop product knowledge, technical applications and procedure in the area of styling, shaping, coloring, hair restructuring and massage. Elective areas include aesthetics, and nail specialties. Your total curriculum is designed to give you the 1000 hours of instruction you need to be eligible for the New York State Cosmetology Licensure Exams. New students as well as those completing hours are welcome. Meeting place: McEvoy Center.

Course Hours: 1000

Length: Approximately 12 months

Schedule: 2:00 p.m. to 8:45 p.m. Monday - Thursday

Start Dates:  September 10, 2007 - August 21, 2008; March 3, 2008 - February 26, 2008

Cost: $7125, for full 1000 hours needed for licensure. Full tuition includes kit.

$7.15 per instructional hour for students completing fewer than 1000 hours. Kit not included.

Approved for Title IV federal assistance (Pell grants and Stafford loans).

Rik Barber - Professional educator of 28 years. Member N.Y.S. Curriculum Advisory Team. Platform artist - Co-owner of Salon.

Diane Morton - Has taught in CTE Cosmetology program for 16 years. Member of NYS Cosmetology Consortium.

Carla Hartzog - Graduate of OCM BOCES Cosmetology program. Employed at Connie Gamel Beautique.
