Computers for Beginners
A 6-session introductory course for the person with no previous computer experience. Using IBM-compatible personal computers, students will gain knowledge of the intricate functions of a computer and how related software are utilized. This course includes basic elements of Windows XP. Keyboard literacy required. Additional cost for textbook.

Powerpoint 2007
Join Gary Case and learn the basic skills necessary to begin effectively creating presentations in Microsoft PowerPoint 2007. During this exciting six hour workshop you will learn to start and identify on-screen features, and navigate through presentations. Students will learn to manage presentation slides, work with text, and format and manipulate objects. Adding transitions and animation will be demonstrated along with various presentation options available. In just three hours, become a more sophisticated user of the powerful tool called the Internet. This workshop will include a description of the Internet and how to access it. Safety and privacy will be discussed. You will work within the Internet Explorer environment becoming familiar with the options available including setting up and organizing your favorite websites for easy access in the future. Learn how to use search engines to efficiently locate information. And develop your ability to send digital images to your friends and family.
