primarily for the person who plans to seek
employment in a physician's office/clinic, or in
a hospital setting. It can also provide the
necessary background of the reimbursement
process to establish one's own billing

have a basic overview of the role of the
insurance billing specialist, know the
entry-level basics of health insurance, be able
to read a medical document and translate the

For persons in the medical field, this
certification program is approved by the
National Phlebotomy Association. Topics include
the role of the phlebotomist, patient
identification, suitability of specimens,

techniques, test requisitioning, specimen
transport and processing and quality assurance
in phlebotomy. Anatomically correct arms are
