VACATION ACCRUAL RATE FOR IN-SERVICE EMPLOYEES
Procedure:
- Vacation is earned during the year of service and credited
on July 1 of each succeeding fiscal year.
- Upon termination, vacation credit will not be credited for
1/2 or less of a month worked immediately prior to termination.
Vacation pay is based on the employee's salary rate at the time
of termination. Vacation credit will be calculated by dividing
the months of employment by the employee's work year and multiplying
by the vacation days being earned for the fiscal year, in which
employment is terminated, rounded to the nearest whole day.
- Where an employee's initial employment does not commence
on July 1, but where a minimum of 6 months of service is rendered
prior to the next succeeding July 1, that period of service will
be counted as 1 fiscal year of service for purposes of 15
20 days of annual vacation entitlement.
- The following chart details days of vacation credit earned
during the listed fiscal year of service:
