The Central New York Regional Planning Service offers a wide range of planning support services to participating school districts, including:

A. Allocation Grants - support to ensure full participation in allocation grant programs:

• Assistance in perparation/writing of allocation grants
• Required SED Programs/Fiscal Reports
• Audit of grant program eligibility
• Assistance in start-up of new programs, compliance

B. Competitive Grant Programs - in-depth assistance in the planning and preparation of proposals. The scope of this component encompasses:

• Assessmant of needs and potential eligibility
• Assistance in team planning/ consortium development
• Assistance in preparation/writing of competitive grants

C. Special Reports - prepared in response to local requests. Examples include:

• Enrollment Trends Analysis
• CAR Testing and Evaluation Reports
• Other Reports based on local options

D. Evaluation/Research - based upon local request. Examples of this service include:

• Customized Database Searches (ERIC, Dialog)
• Substained Effects Analysis reports

E. Mandates Compliance - such as:

• Preparation of State Mandated Plans (Facilities, Chapter I PIP, Discipline, etc.)
• Preparation for State Monitoring Visits ( Chapter I/PSEN, PHC, State Audits, etc.)

Participating school districts select the specific elements of the Central New York Regional Planning Service that are relevant to their own needs each year. The service is designed to enable local Superintendents or designees to adapt/customize their services annually to support local planning needs/priorities. Districts receive approximately ten days of direct services annually, but may elect additional, more intensive support as needed.
